It was an exciting night of female fights on the Muay Thai Premier League card in Long Beach, CA Friday nights.

Julie Kitchen vs. Martina Jindrova

Round 1

Kitchen starts laying in kicks early, keeping pressure on Jindrova. Kitchen works some knees and elbows in the clinch. Kitchen looks strong coming out of the round.

10-9 Kitchen

Round 2

Kitchen continues to work the knees in the clinch over and over. A jumping push kick bu Kitchen, but Jindrova took Kitchen to the floor with a hip throw. Kitchen regains her composure and continues her kicks to end the round.

Round 3

Kitchen picks up the pace in round 3, landing combos and kicks. Although Jindrova is countering, she is being backed up by Kitchen. Kitchen trapped Jindrova in a corner, landing short punches and elbows.

Valentina Shevchencko vs. Angelique Pitiot

Round 1

Pitiot hit a push kick to the body. Shevchencko comes back with several lefts. Knees in the clinch by both fighters. Shevchenko hits a spinning back kick to the body. Close round but giving the edge to Shevchenko.

Round 2

Pitiot sweeps Shevchencko to the floor. They clinch with Shevchenko throwing Pitiot to the ground with Shevchenko hitting a solid elbow. Shevchenko utilizes the jab and lands a kick as the round ends.

Round 3

Shevchencko dumps Pitiot again to the ground. They clinch and exchange knees. Pitiot attempts a flying knee, but Shevchenko catches it in mid-air. Shevchenko clinches, dumping Pitiot . Close round, but Shevchenko ends it strong.

The next MPL card will be in Padvoa, Italy Oct. 8, with two more Long Beach cards in 2012. The Italy card will feature Italy’s Chantal Ughi will face Ilona Wijmans of the Netherlands.
