Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

The Canadian Muay Thai kickboxer Charmaine Tweet made her MMA debut earlier this year with an amateur submission win over Tia Wishart, then a pro loss to Ronda Rousey. Tweet will have two matches ahead – one with Heather Martin in Calgary, then has a match with Anna Barone at Blackeye Promotion’s Breast Cancer Beatdown Oct. 1.
We’ll talk to Tweet about her extensive fight career, the move to MMA, how she is preparing for two matches in three weeks, and her appearance on Canada’s version of “Wipeout”.
