Blackeye Promotions has been making strides towards solidifying a Women’s MMA Division for our inaugural 2012 season to create a home for female fighters and their fans. We have signed some elite fighters to several weight classes so far.

Our newest Blackeye Fighter brings to the Blackeye Cage a stellar amateur career with the aspirations of being a professional MMA fighter and a Blackeye World Champion. She was recently named the “Inspirational Fighter of the Year” by Tuff-n-uff. Scott Crosby and the Blackeye WMMA Division is proud to announce that we are signing Mighty Mia Hayes to the 145 lbs. weight class.

Mia is a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and MMA fighter who is fighting the fight for her life against breast cancer. Despite the physical demands of this fight, Mia’s faith and perseverance have never waned. Inside and outside the cage, a champion is not defined by the numbers of wins she has achieved or the number of losses she has suffered, but by her ability to keep on fighting.

Mia will make her Pro MMA Debut when she is able to enter the Blackeye Cage when her body and her spirit are at peace. Her compassion, selflessness, positive energy and love are the true testimonial to the Blackeye Champion she will fight to become. All of us at Blackeye are humbled by the exemplar character of Mia and her desire to champion for others even when faced with the adversity and physical demands of breast cancer.

Mia will be recognized for her inspiration for all of us to support those who are fighting for their lives at the Blackeye 5 Breast Cancer BeatDown Oct 1, 2011 serving as the Blackeye WMMA Ambassador for the event.

On behalf of all of us at Blackeye Promotions, we would like to welcome Mia and her family to the Blackeye WMMA Division and Community of female fighters, fans, and supporters.
