Lawant vs. Sheer Courtesy MPL

The Muay Thai Premier League hit the Hague in Holland this weekend and two fighters emerge the top of their groups.

In group A, Peru’s Valentina Shevchenko defeated the Netherlands Ilona Wijmans by unanimous decision. Shevchenko goes 2-0 and with the win, is now the points leader in her group.

Same can be said of England’s Julie Kitchen, as she defeated Canada’s Sandra Bastian by unanimous decision. Being 2-0 in Group B, Kitchen tops the leader board.

In non-tournament action, the U.S.’s Lindsay Scheer lost her debut to a close split decision to the Netherlands’ Aleide Lawant.

The MPL heads to Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 5. No word on the matches for the card.
