Boxer Rola El-Halabi was emotional as a German judge sentenced her step-father to six years in prison for shooting her and two security guards earlier this year.

Hicham El-H. shot his step daughter in the her hand, knee and both feet April 1 before her scheduled IBF Lightweight title match in Berlin. El-Halabi had dropped her step-father as a manager in January of this year, after his contract expired. She cited he had problems with her fiancé as one of the causes of him being dropped.

El-Halabi is undefeated as a pro fighter, with 6 of her 11 wins by TKO or KO. Her biggest win to date was winning the WIBA and WIBF titles from Mia St. John in March 2010. With her injuries still healing, El-Halabi is still deciding on if she will return to the ring, if at all, in 2012.
