It was an epic fight between Holly Holm and Anne-Sophie Mathis Friday night and it didn’t end without some controversy.

Holm was knocked down in round six right before the bell. After getting knocked down again in the seventh and tangles up in the ropes, the referee restarted the fight right away, and Mathis landed the knockout blow.

Several pundits and boxing fans have argued that the referee should have stopped the fight sometime in the six or seventh round before the knockout. Others state the stoppage was appropriated seeing that Holm could intelligently defend herself.

It was a shame the complete fight wasn’t aired, but KRQE.com did a great job showing the highlights of each and every round; plus the dramatic end. Take a look for yourself and be the judge.
