Germany’s #1 Combat Sports website, Ground and Pound Germany, has announced their winners for their year end awards, and #6 ranked super-flyweight Sheila Gaff has take home “Female Fighter of the Year”.

Gaff beat out fellow Germans Vanessa Reinsch, Catherine Albinus, Vanessa Schulze, Julika Adachi, and Franziska Perterer for the title.

Gaff, currently #6 in the Unified Rankings, had a stellar 2011 which started with an eight second KO of Hanna Sillen in February.   She also upset top 125er Aisling Daly in April. Gaff is set to participate in the Cage Warriors 125 tournament this year.
