It was an active weekend of MMA results with fighters returing to the cage, and new comers making impacts.

Friday night started with a domiant performance by Munah Holland at Bellator 63. Holland was able to use her boxing to knock down #10 ranked Maryianna Kheyfets twice bfore finally getting the KO and the win at 4:45 in round 2. The fight video is below:
Later in the evening, three women’s fights were on the docket on Resurrection Fighting Alliance card in Kearney, NE.
#1 Unified ranked super-flyweight Tara LaRosa took some time to get out of the gate, but got an armbar submission over Kelly Warren at the very last second; literally. LaRosa chalked her her 22 win nin her career.

#6 Unified ranked featherweight Elaina Maxwell was able to the decision victory over Ashley Sanchez to mark her thrid straight win. Maxwell should more powerful and damaging shots earlier on, with Sanchez using her quickness to pepper Maxwell with shots in the third. It was too little too late for Sanchez; however.

In amateur action, Jessamyn Duke got the gulltoine choke win over Elizabeth Phillips in round 2 in what was Duke’s final pro fight.

In near-by Kansas City, Laura Marcusse defeated Nadia Nixon by unanimous decision to win the Blue Corner starwweight title.

Saturday morning started with the debut of Singapore’s first ever pro MMA fighter Nichole Chua getting a rear naked choke win over India’s Jeet Toshi in round 1 at OneFC in Singapore. Toshi was able to land some combos before Chua was able to take Toshi to the ground and Chua controled the fight from there. She took Toshi’s back and got the choke at 2:07.

Scary situation Saturday night as Stephanie Eggink was knocked unconcious in only 1o seconds after taking an overhand right by Kaline Medeiros at Beatdown MMA in North Dakota. Reports from Eggink’s camp stated that she got a stage 4 concussion and can’t rememeber much of the night. However an MRI showed no bleeding or permanant damage. We wish her a speedy recovery.

After a ten month hiatas, amaterur fighter Sarah Goodlaxson inproved her record 3-3 with a round 2 rear naked choke submission over Myndi Collins at the UFL in Michigan.

Finally, in a semi-pro bout in England, Kerry Maserati defeated K.C. Kendall by via submission (Ground & Pound) round 2.
