The fighters of InvictaFC 2 are ready to throw down Saturday night as all took to the scales Friday.
Main-eventers #5 Unified ranked Sara McMann (135.4) and Shayna Baszler (133.6) both made weight; with Baszler doing her best Jedi impression for their staredown. The #7 ranked Hitomi Akano (135.8) and #6 ranked Alexis Davis (134.0) also made it under the 135 pound limit.
Two fighters didn’t make weight the first time around. Jess Philippus felt she was unable to drop an extra 1.2 pounds so she will forfeit 25% of her purse to Liz McCarthy. Sarah D’Alelio was only 0.2 pounds over, but was able to prove she was at 136 to the Commission on her second try. She will only give away 10% of her purse to Vaness Porto.
InvictaFC 2 will stream live and free on InvictaFC.com starting at 6 p.m. central time Saturday night.
(Video of the weigh-ins will be up as soon as it is available.)
