O’Neil

Ewell

The two best heavyweight female boxers are ready to battle in what will be a rubber match of their trilogy of fights.

Carlette ‘The Truth’ Ewell and Gwendolyn ‘Stealth’ Bomber’ O’Neil will throw down  Saturday for the WIBA and UBA heavyweight titles Lawrence Joel Coliseum Annex in Wiston-Salem, NC. O’Neil won their first encounter by split decision in 2008, with Ewell getting a unanimous decision in their second outing five months later.

.

Since the loss, O’Neil (18-7-1) won five out of her last six, defeating Pauline London for the WIBA strap a year ago.

Ewell (15-7-1) is coming off a split draw with Sonya Lamonakis earlier this year; having defeated Tiffany Woodard twice after her win over O’Neil.

No word on if the fight will be televised or streamed on Saturday.
