Coming off a loss to Miriam Nakamoto, Julie Kitchen is hoping to rebound as she takes on fellow UK star Amanda Kelly at “Muay Thai in America: In Honor of the King” Dec. 1 in Los Angeles.

Kitchen is 47-9-1 in her career in MuayThai and was ranked #1 before her loss to American fighter Nakamoto. A 14 time world champion, she is has been the poster-girl for the female kickboxing community.

Scottish fighter Kelly is an up and coming talent in Europe, touting two world titles.

She has become a phenom in her own right, challenging “The Queen of Muay Thai”.

“This match-up has been in the works for quite some time, but no promoter in UK has ever been able to make it happen” stated MTIA president Don McDaniels in a press release. “Julie has a huge following in the United States, it should be a treat for her fans to get to see her fight on American soil once again against a great fighter such Amanda Kelly.”

The fight will serve as the co-main event of the evening, and will air live on DIRECT TV® and INDEMAND® at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Dec. 1.
