Dana White stated he would get Ronda Rousey into the UFC, and it happened soon than expected.

Rousey can now claim to be the first female fighter to be signed to the global MMA leader, breaking the glass ceiling. Along with her signing, her Strikeforce batnamweight title will go with her, but now she is the UFC women’s bantamweight champ.  Rousey is likely to make her first defense of her new UFC belt in early 2013. This also means the division fighters will soon be signed to the UFC.

Update – Miesha Tate has also signed to the UFC per her twitter account.

Strikeforce will have a blockbuster card in January; which will be the last. Zuffa has decided to end their relationship with Showtime.

TMZ initially reported the story and has been confirmed by several news sources. We are awaiting more details and will report as it becomes available.
