Kate & Rose Earn Wins at BRACE MMA

Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

The final BRACE MMA card of the year saw a pro debuter and a BFW vet earn wins.

Lana Kate (1-1; pictured right) evened her record as she took a split decision over Amy Adam. Kate had lost in her pro debut this past October to Helena Malone at the Brace all female card. Adam was making her pro debut.

Jessy Rose (pictured left) made her pro debut on the card as well, getting a TKO win over Mae-Lin Leow in round 3. Rose had trained for the past four years for her MMA debut, taking on kickboxing matches in the mean time. Leow drops her second match in a row.

BRACE has announced their next card for Feb. 16. It is expected there will be at least one female bout on the card.
