Bec Hyatt to Replace Claudia Gadelha in InvitcaFC 4 Main Event

After an unfortunate training accident that broke her nose in five places, Claudia Gadelha has dropped out of her InvictaFC 4 title match against Carla Esparza. Invicta, however, were quick to find a replacement.

The promotion announced that Australian Bec Hyatt will move up to the main event; having been previously set to take on Joanne Calderwood on the undercard. Hyatt (4-1) is set to make her U.S. debut on the card; coming on a four fight win streak. The match will mark her biggest match to date against the #4 ranked Esparza (8-2) for the first ever InvictaFC Strawweight Championship.The winner will face Gadelha at the InvictaFC April card.

Calderwood (4-0)  will also get a replacement opponent in Livia Van Plettenberg (1-0). Plettenberg moved from her native Austria to Portland, OR to train out of Team Quest. She has a kickboxing background and was the WKF European champion. She has also competed in BJJ. This will be her American MMA debut.

InvictaFC will emanate from Kansas City, KS Saturday Jan. 7. The event will stream live for $9 on InvictaFC.com.
