Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

The XFC has promised to open more women’s divisions and true to their word, they have signed their first atomweight to a contract.
InvictaFC 2 vet Angelica Chavez is the first 105er to sign on to the promotion in 2013 according to a press release Wednesday. The Albuquerque native is sporting a 4-2 record and has yet to be finished in a fight. In her last match, she lost by decision to Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc this past July.
She is set to debut with the promotion sometime this spring, with an opponent to be announced.
