Invicta Signs Australian Kickboxer Alex Chambers

Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. On the heels of Bec Hyatt making waves at InvictaFC, the promotion has signed its second fighter from Australia.

Kickboxing champ turned MMA fighter Alex Chambers (3-1) has signed to the promotion this past week. Chambers got her start in MMA with the upstart RIZE promotion in Australia, getting two straight wins before seeing her first defeat at JEWELS. She would come back from the loss with a TKO over Mika Nagano the BRACE Girls card this past October.

The strawweight Chambers has expressed that she is wanting to go to atomweight. No word on when Chambers will debut at Invicta; but could be as early as the promotion’s 5th card in Irvine, CA April 6.
