Miscellaneous News

Santos

Cyborg Santos has gotten her wish.

At a press conference for “UFC on Fuel” company president Dana White stated that the promotion has released the former Strikeforce featherweight champ from her contract. As we reported earlier this week, Santos wanted out because there was no fights available for her. White confirmed this, stating that if she could make 135, he wasn’t willing to match her at a catch weight. Santos had sent a doctor’s letter to the UFC stating that going to 135 was unhealthy.

No word from Santos’s camp on what their next move is.
