In what was a heated staredown Friday, #4 unified ranked bantamweight Miesha Tate and #9 ranked Cat Zingano graced the UFC weigh-ins for the first time in their career. Both made weight with Tate coming in at 135.5 pounds and Zingano at 136 for their bout Saturday night in Las Vegas at “The Ultimate Fighter Finale”, which will air live on FX. The match will be the featured bout of the evening.

Tate (13-3) is the former Strikeforce bantamweight champion and is looking to get a rematch with current UFC champion Ronda Rousey. Tate was on a 6-0 run before losing to Rousey last year. Tate got an armbar win over current UFC signee Julie Kedzie in her last bout.

In Tate’s way is Zingano (7-0) who has finished all but one of her opponents. The BJJ black belt recently moved up to bantamweight, getting the submission over Raquel Pennington at InvictaFC 3 this past October. She has a decision win over InvictaFC flyweight champ Barb Honchak.

The winner will face Rousey for her title later this year, and will be a coach on the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter”.

The card start on FX at 10 p.m. est time. It will be live on the east coast, and on tape delay on the west coast.
