Wombat sports is dedicated to women in combat sports. Former news editor of “Fightergirls” MarQ Piocos has been covering Women’s MMA for over three years, having picked up coverage of wrestling, boxing, and grappling. It is his vision to bring some of the best coverage to help bring and promote the ever expanding popularity of women’s MMA, wrestling, and martial arts with some of the best writers and athletes.

Resurrection Fighting Alliance will make it’s way west to Los Angeles August 16, and announced a female bout to the main card. Kickboxing champ Justine Kish will take on Team Hurricane Awesome’s Christine Stanley in RFA’s debut on the west coast.
Kish (1-0) is making her return to the cage after a 2 1/2 year absence. She got a debut win over Munah Holland at Ring of Fire via triangle choke in 2010 and looks to make a run in MMA.
Stanley (1-0) is a training partner of Liz Carmouche, and made a spectacular pro debut this past April with a 29 second TKO over Leah Barfield.
The fight will be featured on the preliminary card. No word on if it will be streamed.
