Nakamoto to Defend Muay Thai Title Against Lawant

971400_670175866331029_1694653305_nMiriam Nakamoto is set to return to Muay Thai as she will defend her WCK title against Aleide Lawant August 24th in Temecula, CA.

Nakamoto is consider the best pound for pound Muay Thai fighter on the planet, her last Muay Thai fighter saw her defeat the UK’s Julie Kitchen to claim the WCK Champion of Champions title. Since then, she went 2-0 with one no contest in MMA. Her latest outing saw her defeat former boxing champ Duda Yankovich at InvictaFC 6.

Dutch fighter Lawant (23-6) is looking to make a name for herself and dethrone the current Queen of Muay Thai.

The fight will air on Fox Sports Prime the night following the event.
