Cyborg Justino is dead set on fighting Muay Thai, and fight here in the U.S.in September.
After her Muay Thai fight in Thailand was delayed until November, Justino signed with Lions Promotions, and will take on Martina Jindrova (17-5 Muay Thai) at the promotion’s September 20th event at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. The promotion announced the fight on Tuesday.
The InvictaFC featherweight champ Justino (12-1; 1NC MMA) is coming off a forth round TKO over Marloes Coenen to be crowned the first title holder. It has been hard to stop Justino, as her swarm attack with vicious punches have finished many opponents in the opening stanza. Muay Thai is a different animal, and although Justino competed in the sport in Brazil, it will be interesting to see her take on a solid contender in the business.
Her opponent Jindrova fights out of Holland, but is originally from the the Czech Republic. She is a veteran of the Muay Thai Premier League. She won the WAKO World Cup Champion of K-1 in 2009, and has notable wins over Valentina Shevchenko and Thailand’s Yodnamphet.
Jindrova currently lists herself as a 149 pound fighter, but Lions Promotion didn’t announce what weight the fight would take place at.
The match will air on AXS TV September 20th.
