One of the deepest divisions in Invicta, the strawweights are rumored to be the next division the UFC is interested in. With Felice Herrig just signed to the promotion, it will the dominate weight class for the foreseeable future.

Here are some prospects that are knock on the door of Invicta.

Jessica Aguilar (15-4)

The #1 strawweight fighter in the world is now a free agent, so it just maybe a matter of time before she signs with Invicta. With wins over former #1 Megumi Fujii, Aguilar would automatically be in title contention as she defeated current champ Carla Esparza in Bellator in what was a nominee for fight for the year.

Emi Fujino (12-6)

One of the vets in Japanese MMA, she started her career over a decade ago. She began her pro career on a eight fight win streak. She will take part of the upcoming DEEP-JEWELS strawweight tournament, so it will be a while before we see her at Invicta.

Angela Magana (11-5)

A six year veteran of the sport, she has a win over current Invicta champ Barb Honchak. She also has a win over current #1 ranked Jessica Aguilar. She will hopefully earn some gold when she takes on Stepahnie Eggink at XFC 25 this coming month.

Kinberly Novaes (7-2)

The Brazilian standout has a win over current UFC fighter Jessica Andrade. She has three TKO wins under her belt and been fighing on an aggressive schedule. She has won seven of her last eight fights.

Herica Tiburcio (6-2)

Coming off a win over Kinberly Novaes, she is a finalist in the MMA Super Heroes strawweight tournament. She went on a 5-0 win streak to start her pro career with 4 submissions.

Rhiannon Thompson (4-0)

Top strawweight prospect out of Australia, she made international headlines with her head kick knockout over Bec Hyatt. She has finished all her opponents with two KOs and two submissions.

Stephanie Eggink (3-1)

The current title contender for the XFC title has rebounded from her only pro loss with back to back decision wins. Now training with UFC TUF competitor Shayna Baszler, she has seen vast improvement in her ground game.

Amber Stautzenberger (3-1)

One of Texas’s top prospects at 115, Stautzenberger has made a name for herself in the past year. Her win over Glena Avila prompted her to the national stage this past spring. She will be fighting in Hawaii this fall, and with a win, it will be hard not to argue for her inclusion into the Invicta strawweight division.

Claire Fryer (3-1)

The British kickboxing standout has made her home in Australia. She defeated Rita Tomita at the BRACE all female card last year. He only loss was to InvictaFC signee Alex Chambers. She will return to the cage this October.

Livia Renata Souza (3-0)

Having not seen the third round, she has submitted all her opponents, including a heelhook win over Aline Sattelmayer.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz (3-0)

The undefeated Polish fighter is the current KSW champ. Having two first round finishes, she is set to take on InvictaFC vet Jasminka Cive next month.

Glena Avila (2-2)

Undefeated as an amateur, Avila won her first two pro fights before having some close decision losses to current InvictaFC fighter Emily Kagan and fellow prospect Amber Stautzenberger. With a solid win in her next outing, Avila could see herself at Invicta.

Alida Gray (2-0)

Gray made waves by upsetting Patricia Vidonic this past June. She went 4-1 as an ammy and racked up a submission win in July.

Brianna Van Buren (1-1)

The majority of our twitter followers threw their support to the current XFC competitor. Her strength and wrestling showed during her loss to Stepahnie Eggink, which says a lot about her skill in the cage. XFC has no problems lending talent, and Van Buren would be an exciting addition to Invicta.

Amateur fighters worth mentioning:

• Rebecca Heintzman (6-0) - The NAAFS staple has fought all of her fights in 2012. With three of those being finishes, we await to see her back in the cage.
• Roya Darvishian (5-2) – Has won 4 of her last five fights and has rededicated herself to making MMA a career.
• Jillian Lybarger (4-5) - Jillian Lybarger is signed to Invicta, but wanted to make sure she had a pro win under her belt before making the jump. Her sister Jocelyn debuted with InvictaFC last year, and hopefully we will get to see the sisters fight on a card together in 2014.
• Hannah Wendell Cifers (4-1) – Prospect out of North Carolina, she was undefeated before losing a unanimous decision to Roya Darvishian.
• Jen Lopez (4-1) – With three submission wins, Lopez is looking to avenge her only loss as she takes on Roya Darvishian this weekend.
