One of “The Ultimate Fighter” cast members is fighting in September, and it’s not in the UFC.

Tara LaRosa will make her way to Japan to face the undefeated Rin Nakai at Pancrase’s 20th anniversary card September 28. MMARising.com broke the news Friday morning.

LaRosa (21-3) has found much success at batamweight, as she went on a 15 fight win streak after her first loss as a pro. She drop to 125, and would lose to Roxanne Modafferi in the Fight of the Year for 2010.

Her most recent loss was to Vanessa Porto at InvictaFC 3 last year at flyweight; and she will move back up to batamweight for the fight. This will be the first time in 8 years LaRosa has fought MMA in Japan.

LaRosa was announced as a part of the cast of TUF last week, and was expected to make it far in the competition. We have been told she is a “free agent”, so our take is that she didn’t make it to the finals of the competition. Valerie Latourneau is in the same boat, having already book a match for October. The “Ultimate Fighter” will debut September 4th on Fox Sports 1, with the finals set for November.

Nakai (14-0-1) is the current Pancrase bantamweight champion, and is coming off a first round submission win over Brenda Gonzales. The seven year vet was able to avenge her only draw, taking the decision win over InvictaFC vet Danielle West.  The title will probably not be on the line for the fight.

No word on if the Pancrase will stream the event, but if it does, it will be available on the Pancrase UStream channel for $12.
