It has been only two months since Julia Budd has debuted in a MMA cage but has made a quick inpression on the 145 pound division. After defeating a ranked Shana Olsen this past October, the now #6 ranked fighter faces an even toughter challenge in #4 ranked Amanda Nunes (5-1) at the Strikeforce Challengers Nashville this Friday on Showtime. The winner could be the next challenger to champion Cyborg Santos.

Budd was at the public workout Wednesday to answer some questions and show some of her skills.

“I’m really excited about fighting for STRIKEFORCE on SHOWTIME and looking forward to showcasing my skills to the fans and the world and representing my team (Gibson MMA in British Columbia) the best that I can," Budd admitted. "“All fighters at this level are tough, and Nunes is no different. But she’s just another person who has to fall."

Tickets are still available at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Digital cable and satillite subscribes that don't have Showtime will be happy to know that this is a Showtime Free previewweekend, so go to your Showtime network to watch the action.
