Amanda LaVoy snapped a four fight losing streak this weekend by defeating Michele Gutierrez via doctor’s stoppage at the XFO 39 card in Chicago.

LaVoy was the aggressor in the first round, but Gutierrez had more effective counterstriking. LaVoy was able to inflict some damage with knees near the end of the round, as Gutierrez sported a mouse near her left eye.

In the second, more Muay Thai knees would open a nasty gash on Gutierrez on the left side of her face. The doctor stopped the contest at 24 seconds in the 2nd round. Gutierrez was disappointed and left the cage before LaVoy's hand was raised.
