Jessica Breland, a 6-foot-3 forward from Kelford, NC , is at the top of her game and looking forward to her senior season as a leader in the UNC Women’s Basketball Program.
But she doesn’t take anything for granted. Having sat out last season while undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma at UNC, she’s thankful for the team at the N.C. Cancer Hospital and wants to give kids with cancer the same shot at a comeback that she’s been working toward ever since her diagnosis.
