It's the second week of practice, and less than four weeks away some teams will begin having their exhibition games. It's hard to believe it's that time again already, but thank goodness it is.
News:
UCLA Coach Cori Close is stressing defense and discipline.
The Lady Vol's first practice was up-tempo. Juco transfer Jasmine Phillips is out to prove she's number one. And Coach Emeritus Pat Summitt will be at every practice.
High school:
Kasim Alston was ousted as Bishop Loughlin High School's coach after he tried to have a "stop the violence" fundraiser in honor of his goddaughter, Tayshana Murphy. The high school senior was slain in Sept., 2011.
