The 2014 FIBA World Championships are starting soon and there are many countries that will be represented. One of the countries that will be there is Team Canada. While they are not the women’s traditional powerhouse in basketball, they are a growing basketball nation and get better every year as the talented players develop every year. For this year’s World Championships, we will cover Team Canada’s games with a preview/game recap as well as a mini preview of what to expect from them during this tournament.

Nneka Ogwumike led the U.S. in scoring with 10 points while Maya Moore had 8 points as well as game-highs 6 steals and 4 assists. The link above is to the box score (courtesy of the Minnesota Lynx).
