In keeping with SB Nation’s innovative use of social media in reshaping sports journalism, our vision is a women's basketball site that goes beyond merely providing game reports; instead, we want to capture the narratives that fuel our passion for the game, while maintaining the critical stance that helps us understand the game better.

Ready or not, it’s showtime for the Oregon women’s basketball team.

Stinging from back-to-back losses last week but energized by the prospect of playing their first game in Matthew Knight Arena, the Ducks will host Oregon State today at noon. With a capacity crowd of at least 12,314 expected to pass through the turnstiles, this Civil War will be the best-attended women’s basketball game in Pac-10 Conference history and one of the biggest crowds to see a women’s game in the nation this season.

The stage is set for a defining moment from Oregon.

From UO women’s basketball: Ducks believe grand new stage can boost two Pac-10 records.

The 12 p.m. PST game will be televised on FSN.
