The Connecticut Sun waive three

The Connecticut Sun waived Rachele Fitz (Marist), Adrienne Johnson (Louisiana Tech), and Tahnee Robinson (Nevada – Reno) Wednesday, May 25, 2011.

All three appeared in the Suns PreSeason opener against China last Thursday. Fitz collected 5 points, 3 rebounds in 8 minutes of action. Johnson collected 3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist in 6 minutes of action. Robinson in her 8 minutes of playing time scored 5 points and had 1 assists.

These transactions leave the Connecticut Sun with one true rookie in post player Stefanie Murphy (Boston College) and Danielle McCray (Kansas) who was recovering from an ACL injury last year.

The Sun have 1 more player to cut before the start of the season on June 4, 2011.
