The annual Kabuki Theatre that is NCAA Signing Day doesn’t exactly make me feel warm and fuzzy inside, especially with from most accounts more treachery than usual involved this season. The big winners this season would seem to be UCLA (a potential all-time great class), Stanford, Virginia, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M.; Some non-power schools made a big splash as well, with UC Santa Barbara, Oregon, and Long Beach State also bringing in some big talent.
The Almighty College Soccer Recruiting Spreadsheet has links to the schools that were proactive in getting their signees’ info out today. Keep in mind that many schools are still working to wrap up their classes and will post their releases in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Gold Stars go to…
-Texas A&M; – The undisputed leader of signing day knowledge and info for soccer. Has just about everything you’d ever want to know about their new crop of recruits.
-Georgia – For putting a copy of their 2011 schedule at the end of their PDF release. It’s the little things that count.
-Minnesota – For forwarding us their signee info. Much appreciated.
Our next college content will likely be a WPS Big Board for the upcoming season which looks talent laden with one of the deepest pools of talent seen in the college ranks in a long time. Later on in the summer, we’ll be coming at you with Preview 2011, with capsule previews of every Division I conference and team in the country along with a surprise or two.
