The first ever United States Women’s Olympic Boxing team is set, and there is no denying that they are the best of the best in the U.S.

Lightweight Queen Underwood (Seattle, WA), Flyweight Marlen Esparza (Houston, TX) and Middleweight Claressa Shields (Flint, MI) all went undefeated in their respective divisions, earning them a slot at the Olympic trials in Bejing, China in May. If they place in the top eight at the trials, they will adance to the London Olympic in July.

Shields holds the moniker of youngest ever female Olympic boxing team member at 16. Esparza is 23, while Underwood is the most experience at 27. All defeated their opponents by points in the finals.

In case of injury, second place finishers Tyrieshia Douglas (flyweight), Mikaela Mayer (lightweight), and  Tika Hemingway (middleweight) will be the alternates.

The Olympic trials are expected to either air on one of the NBC Networks or stream on UniversalSports.com.
