With Judo becoming the new sport to look out for in MMA, one girl is hoping to equal if not surpass Ronda Rousey in the judo ranks.

At 14 years old, Hawaii’s Teshya Alo is hoping to be the youngest Judoka to compete at the Olympics. Having won nearly a dozen U.S. titles in the sport both at the junior and adult levels; she has competed on the boys side and tossed her way into the winner’s circle.  In 2010, Teshya won gold at the Pan-Am Games in the under 15 division.

Her natural talent for grappling also extends to Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling, as she has taken home medals in both sports. Her first love is judo, however.

Tehsya’s not the only talented grappler in the family, as her little sister 12 year old Teniya has gained multiple titles in the grappling arts.

Making Wave Films is in the middle of shooting a documentary called “The Animated Adventures of Judo Girl”, which will follow Teshya’s journey to hopefully make it to the Olympics in 2012.
