A difference “enhancement” has come under fire in Louisiana.

The Louisiana State Boxing and Wrestling Commission decided Wednesday to put a 60 day moratorium on MMA fighters, wrestlers, and boxers with breast implants.

“If they want to look good, then they don’t have to be in the ring,” stated commissioner Harold Williams.

The reason why the issue was brought up was a fighter had recently bow out of her fight due to having a problem with her implant. The commission doesn’t want to be culpable for any monetary damages if a mishap should occur.

Fighters can get an exemption if there is a note from the doctor who did the surgery. The commission’s doctor, Thomas Ferguson, feels no doctor would allow it.

“I don’t know of a single plastic surgeon who is going to allow his artistic work to be messed up,” Ferguson expressed.

The ban on breast implants could be permanent if the commission isn’t convinced on their safety after the moratorium. The commission will revisit the issue in 60 days.
