The University of Connecticut broke the record for most consecutive wins in Division I basketball, men or women, Tuesday night in a rout of Florida State, 93-62. A sell out crowd at the XL Center in Hartford witnessed the Huskies waltz into the history books yet again and win their 89th straight game, just two days after tying the record set by the UCLA men under John Wooden from 1971-74.

Maya Moore led the Huskies with a career-high 41 points, the second most single-game tally in school history, only behind Nykesha Sales. She also had ten rebounds.

UConn faces Stanford on December 30 after a game against Pacific in California. Stanford is the last team to beat UConn. The Cardinal beat the Huskies in the NCAA tournament national semifinals in 2008.
