 Cheryl Ford: Basketball

 Ford is a professional American basketball player who was named WNBA MVP in 2007.

Ford started competitive basketball when she was in high school. She was named WBCA All-American and played in the 1999 WBCA High School All-America Game. She continued onto college where she attended Louisiana Tech University. Associated Press gave Ford an All-America Honorable Mention in 2003. In 2002 and 2003 she was named Western Athletic Conference "Player of the Year". She was picked #3 in the WNBA draft in 2003 to the Detroit Shock. She lead the team to a worst to first record and a WNBA championship her first year. In 2007 she recieved the WNBA MVP Award. Ford signed with Polish team CCC Aquapark Polkowic in 2010. In 2010 the Shock moved to Tulsa. Ford followed.
