 Marques is a Brazilian professional and Olympic basketball player who became the second youngest athlete to join the WNBA (2002).

Marques was a member of the Brazilian National Team. In 2002 she was drafted into the WNBA for the Miami Sol, making her the second youngest woman to be drafted into the WNBA. In 2003, Marques joined the Phoenix Mercury. In 2004 she went to the Athens Olympics with the Brazilian National Team. In 2005, she moved to the Seattle Storm where she became a starting forward.
