Kelly and her sister, Coco, attended the University of Georgia. Kelly had a successful collegiate career, taking home the All-SEC First Team all four years, the SEC Player of the Year in 2000 and 2001, the James E. Sullivan Award, given to the nation's top amateur athlete, as well as became the first player in SEC history to accumulate 400 assistas, 200 steals, and reach the 1500 point mark. Upon graduation, Miller joined the WNBA. She was the #3 draft pick to the Charlotte Sting where she stayed until 2003. She joined the Indiana Fever in 2004 before leaving for the Phoenix Mercury in 2006 until 2008. She then went back to her home state, Minnesota to play for the Lynx for one year (2009) before moving to the Atlanta Dream with her sister Coco. In 2011 she joined the Washington Mystics.
